Glen Orbik - Pulp Noir – classic covers

We are privileged to present a new collection of artwork from the late Glen Orbik, the godfather of pulp noir cover art. These four dramatic images are all taken from book covers, but Glen also designed comic book art and movie posters, working with many of the giants of the day, from Ray Bradbury and Fred Fixler to Marvel and DC Comics. His images combine the classic chiaroscuro feel of 1940s film noir with a brilliantly nuanced sense of comic book unreality, making him the go-to artist for many of the biggest names; he was asked to design the jacket for the 25th anniversary edition of Stephen King’s IT – one of many accolades that demonstrate his extraordinary status.
